  ROME--The stolen “Roaring Lion” portrait of Winston Churchill is returning home to Canada after it was sold to a buyer in Italy, the Canadian Embassy announced.

 On Thursday, a return ceremony was held at the Canadian Embassy in Italy between Canadian and Italian officials for the return of the portrait. Canadian Ambassador, Elissa Goldberg, Deputy Minister of Canadian Heritage, Isabelle Mondou, the Ottawa Police Investigation Unit, and the Carabinieri Cultural Heritage Protection Command were present during the portrait’s exchange.

Rome - The Italian Astronaut and Air Force Colonel, Walter Villadei, returned from the Axion 3 mission at the International Space Station with the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s Flag which he handed over at the sovereign state's headquarters in the Eternal City in a solemn ceremony.

 For this extraordinary event the doors which are usually closed were open to the media on Monday at the Villa Magistrate Headquarters of the Order of Malta on the Aventine Hill. The Axiom Mission 3 involved a private space flight to the international space station on Jan.18 this year.

 Ms McCann also ruffled the feathers of animal lovers among the staff when she was quoted as saying “some days you just want to kick a dog.”
