James Walston scholarship raises funds for student field trips

ROME – A scholarship in memory of Professor James Walston aims to send students of the American University of Rome to Turkey.
Two months ago the American University of Rome established The James Walston Scholarship Fund in memory of the much-loved professor and founding member of the institution who passed away earlier this year.
Funds will go to help students of the department of International Relations & Global Politics attend field trips to international organisations and areas of conflict, separatism, nationalism or development.
The scholarship has currently raised over $3,500 and aims to achieve $10,000 ahead of a planned trip to Turkey during the winter 2015 term.
