VATICAN CITY-- Pope Francis took part in Mass celebrated at the Gemelli polyclinic hospital Sunday as blood tests disclosed that he is suffering from kidney insufficiency as well as receiving ongoing treatment for anaemia and continuing to receive high-speed oxygen, the Vatican said.
"The condition of the Holy Father remains critical," the Vatican said in an evening medical bulletin. "However since yesterday evening he has not had further respiratory crises."
VATICAN CITY- The Vatican has released a statement that Pope Francis’s health continues to be critical.
As of this morning, Pope Francis is having a prolonged asthmatic respiratory crisis, which required the application of high-flow oxygen.
The statement gave specific details on the Pope’s health, “Today's blood tests also revealed thrombocytopenia, associated with anemia, which required the administration of blood transfusions.”
Despite his worsening condition, Pope Francis continues to stay vigilant and spends the day in his armchair.

ROME-On the third anniversary of the war in Ukraine, Monday 24 of Feb, the Basilica Santa Maria in Trastevere is hosting a prayer vigil for peace. The vigil is in association with the Community of Sant’Egidio. The service will be presided over by the Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Integral Human Development, Cardinal Fabio Baggio.
The community of Sant’Egidio feels that “the prayer for peace and an end to the great suffering caused by the conflict is increasingly urgent.”
