Roman academics and Mayor host meeting on Thursday

ROME - Founder of the Community of Sant'Egidio, Andrea Riccardi, will hold an event on Thursday in honor of the publication of his book The Longest Winter.
Professor Riccardi's book does not just describe the history of Jews and their persecution in Rome. It tells the history of the world during a time when many lived fearful each day and others performs courageous acts. It also details the role of the church during this time.
The Mayor of Rome, Ignazio Marino, as well as academics Giuseppe de Rita and Agostino Giovagnoli, will also be present. The event will take place at 5:30 pm in the Sala della Protomoteca in Campidoglio.
