John Lennon's son opens new exhibition in Venice

ROME – Julian Lennon’s new photography exhibition in Venice delves into his artistic journey as a musician and photographer, according to Le Stanze Delle Fotografia.

The exhibition, titled “Whispers - A Julian Lennon Retrospective”, will be shown at Le Stanze della Fotografia in Venice. It will open to the public on the 28th of August and close on the 24th of November 2024.

Julian Lennon followed the creative footsteps of his father, late Beatles member John Lennon, and is now a successful musician, author, and photographer. He helped curate the collection with the assistance of Sandrina Bonetti Rubelli. It will follow Julian Lennon’s musical career through landscapes, portraits, and images.

Visitors can also see traces of Lennon’s efforts as a humanitarian within the exhibit. which is also evident within his non-profit, The White Feather Foundation. “This retrospective does not only embrace photography, but is an opportunity to draw attention to themes dear to me,” says Julian Lennon in regards to the upcoming exhibition.

Lennon’s co-curator praises the exhibition and comments on the themes it shares with the city of Venice, “From the cultural intensity of the Art Biennale to the Film Festival, from environmental issues to an introspective reflection on themes close to the individual and the community. This is not a simple selection of photographs, but an insight into the interiority of an artist who cares, in the broadest sense, about life.”
