ROME - The president of the Republic of Finland, President Sauli Niinistö, has conferred Grimaldi Group and Finnlines CEO Mr. Emanuele Grimaldi with a decoration of Commander of the Order of the Lion of Finland. The decoration is awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves in the service of Finland.

 Finnish ambassador to Italy, Mr. Janne Taalas, in a ceremony at his residence in Rome, has stated that the decoration is a recognition to Mr. Emanuele Grimaldi’s long-term efforts in Finland and at Finnlines, which is extremely significant to Finnish exports.

 There are only very few foreign citizens who have been honored with the decoration of such a high level.
