Minor arrested for violent attack in Parioli

ROME – The carabinieri of Parioli have arrested a minor after an order for his arrest was issued by the investigating judge of the Juvenile Court of Rome.

The youngster is under investigation for attacking another minor in the smart neighbourhood of Parioli last October.

According to a reconstruction of events, the victim was teased about his clothing and aggressively asked: “what are you wearing”, before then being encircled by 15 of the bully’s friends, who were there to protect the aggressor.

The beatings then ensued that caused the boy serious injuries to the face. He was subsequently hospitalised and had to undergo surgery because his face was fractured.

This all took place in Piazza delle Muse, the meeting place for the so-called “pariolini”. However, the bully and his friends were from another neighbourhood in Rome.

The author of the violent attack has been taken into custody, as ordered by judicial authorities.
