ROME – The Minister of Happiness in the Government of the United Arab Emirates, H.E. Ohoud Al Roumi, has had a meeting with Italian Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs, Enzo Amendola, during which she explained the background to the UAE’s efforts to persuade Qatar to change its foreign policy, diplomatic sources said Friday.

  Ms Al Roumi met with Signor Amendola for talks at the Farnesina on Thursday together with H.H. Mohameed Bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, the Director of European Affairs in the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the sources said.

 The UAE is one of Italy’s most important strategic business partners in the Arab world while bilateral diplomatic relations between the two countries also are excellent.
