Millions flock to Holy See for Jubilee celebrations

VATICAN CITY -- In the eight and a half months since the opening of St. Peter’s Holy Door, 14 million believers have come to Rome for the Jubilee of Mercy, organised by Pope Francis.
The latest update on the ‘Anno Santo’ official website, which is run by the Pontifical Council for the new evangelisation, says exactly 14,202,277 people have participated in the Jubilee in Rome.
This figure includes pilgrims from all around the world who have registered online, who arrived in the Eternal City for the Jubilee events at the Vatican’s basilica.
