Public transport strike in Rome: Metro A closed

ROME -- The Trade Union ‘General Labour Union’ (UGL) has called a strike on Tuesday, which means the Metro A line will be closed. Metro lines B and C, according to Rome’s transport site ATAC’s twitter page, are active but with “possibilities of reduced journeys.”
ATAC have also said that there is the possibility of a reduced number of journeys on the Rome - Lido and Termini – Centocelle lines. They also warned of possible delays and disruptions to bus lines.
The disruptions will continue for a period of 24 hours.
ATAC said that things should run as normal between the hours of 5pm and 8pm, with Metro A opening again for this period of time.
