Bodies of dead Italians return from Bangladesh

ROME -- The bodies of the nine Italians killed in a terrorist attack at a cafe in Dhaka on Sunday were flown back to Rome on Tuesday evening, where the airplane arrived just after 7pm at Rome’s Ciampino airport. On Thursday morning the Minister for Foreign affairs Paolo Gentiloni will report on the Dhaka tragedy in which these nine Italians lost their lives.
The autopsies on the nine bodies were carried out on Wednesday, four of which were men and five women. The women who died in the attack were Simona Monti, Claudia D’Antona, Nadia Benedetti, Adele Puglisi and Maria Rivoli. The men were Claudio Cappelli, Cristian Rossi, Vincenzo D’Allestro and Marco Tondat. It is reported the most of the Italians worked in the apparel trade.
Family members, as well as Gentiloni and President Mattarella, were all present for the arrival of the bodies on Tuesday evening. Each coffin was covered with the Italian flag.
