Over 400 migrants feared dead in Mediterranean

ROME - More than 400 migrants are feared to have drowned in the Mediterranean while trying to reach Italy from Egypt, shipping sources said Monday.
Most of the people who perished reached Egypt from Somalia, Ethiopia or Eritrea before boarding four rusting boats for Italy.
Some 30 people were rescued after the vessels capsized but as many as 400 others were missing feared dead, local news reports said.
