Four arrested in murder of German manager case

Rome - Police officers have arrested three Romanians charged with murder and the father of one of them with helping them, police sources said on Monday. The German manager was found murdered in his apartment last month.
The dead Oliver Degenhardt, aged 49, was found Nov. 6. with his throat cut and head injuries inflicted with a blunt object. The alleged murderers set the apartment of victim on fire to cover their tracks.
The firefighters intervened to extinguish the fire, which had badly damaged the house. Some of the victim’s valuables were missing in the devastated building. The investigation, conducted through complex technical and scientific activities, has allowed the judge at the Court of Rome, at the request of the prosecutor Giovanni Musarò, to issue an arrest warrant.
The three Romanians of 23, 26 and 28 years old fled Italy right after the crime. Police found two of them in Romania and the third one in Norway. The 44 year old father of one of the three suspects, a street artist, was tracked down by police in Rome, close to the Tiber, where some of the victim’s stolen items were also located.
