Work on the television surveillance for Jubilee completed

  Rome - The CCTV completed work on the installation of cameras Friday. The reorganisation and upgrading of Via Zanardelli as well as building new public toilets, pavements, drainage and street signs also has began today and will last for 60 days, the city council confirmed.

  The monitoring system surveillance on pilgrims was installed in Piazza Pia, including the pedestrian area, Via Ottaviano-Via Giulio Cesare, near St Peter's, Viale San Paolo and Via Ostiense from Parco Schuster to the Porta San Paolo and Piazza Risorgimento.

  The work started today on the reorganisation and upgrading of Via Zanardelli, which will include the reconstruction of the substrate and the road surface, the maintenance and the renovation of the system of water collection waste, reorganisation of the road markings and signs. They are going to provide also new routes and crossings for the disabled and eight public toilets will be renovated. All the toilets will be equipped with changing rooms and hydraulic systems to simplify cleaning and sterilization environments.

  The works will cover the services of Castel Sant'Angelo, the Colosseum, Porta Cavalry, Ripetta, Pincio, Piazza Risorgimento, Giuseppe Garibaldi and St. Paul square.

  All of the works must be completed within 60 days.
