Chaouqui vents anger on Facebook

ROME - In anticipation of the upcoming Vatileaks trial, Francesca Immaculate Chaouqui took to Facebook to threaten those who are accusing her of leaking confidential information to journalists before the trial has even begun.
“Publish wiretappings between me and Emiliano Fittipaldi [one of the journalists accused], in which I am sending a document. Or those between me and Gianluigi Nuzzi [the other journalist], when I send a sheet of paper, a password. Come on, show the world that I have betrayed the Pope. You have 52 hours before the trial starts to bring the evidence to light. If you do not succeed, look at yourself in the mirror, and start noting the ways in which you differ from a real court with a real judge.”
The post was subsequently removed from the social network website.
She is on trial with the other informants Monsignor Lucio Angel Vallejo Balda and his assistant Nicola Maio.
The first hearing took place last week, and the next one is scheduled for Monday Nov. 30 at 9:30 am.
