Proceedings against a judge
  ROME - On Thursday, the Supreme Council of Magistrates has decided to open proceedings against Naples judge Anna Scognamiglio. Scognamiglio as well as the Governor of Campania Vincenzo De Luca and five other people are investigated for alleged corruption.
 
  Among the people under investigation, there is also husband of Scognamiglio, lawyer Guglielmo Manna, former head of De Luca's secretary Nello Mastursi, as well as intermediaries Giorgio Poziello and Gianfranco Brancaccio and Giuseppe Vetrano, head of election campaign of De Luca.
 
  On Wednesday Campania Governer asked for interrogation with prosecutors in order to clarify his position and explain to be a victim in the alleged crime. He feel injured after it has turned out that he is one of the suspects in alleged corruption probe.
 
  According to the Rome investigative sources, the governer was threatened by some of the other suspects in order to approve a request of Manna for a post in health-sector. "I'm the injured party in this case, me and the institutions that I represent," ensured De Luca. "I fully support the action of the magistrates," he added and urged officials to continue the investigation.
 
  Scognamiglio denies to have something to do with the alleged corruption probe. "I don't know De Luca, nor Mastursi, nor Vetrano," assert Scognamiglio. "I never had any form of contact with them so I did not ask them for any favours for me or my husbad." Even so, the Supreme Council of Magistrates has decided to open proceedings against her.
