Maramotti exhibition shortlisted for international prize

Time Flies. A Highlight by Esko Männikkö is one of the shortlisted exhibitions

REGGIO EMILIA — The exhibition entitled Time Flies. A Highlight by Esko Männikkö, which was on display at Collezione Maramotti from May to September 2015, has been shortlisted in the photography section for the Global Fine Art Awards, together with exhibitions presented by The J. Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles, and High Museum of Art, Atlanta.

Global Fine Art Awards (GFAA) is the international prize awarded to the best art and design exhibitions in the world, with special attention paid to their curatorship and layout.

The jury has made its selection by examining more than 200 museums and 1,000 exhibitions.

The list of shortlisted exhibitions, which are from 19 countries, has been compiled by a jury of professionals and experts in the art world, including Peter Trippi (editor-in-chief of Fine Art Connoisseur magazine), Dean Phelus (American Alliance of Museum's Senior Director of Leadership Programs), Gina Costa (art historian and curator, previously at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago), and Dr. Barbara Aust-Wegemund (international lecturer, art history consultant and curator).

The GFAA jury members will name the winners for each of the eight categories of the prize, whilst the public will choose the ninth winner “Youniversal” (the most popular), by voting on the GFAA website and on social media.

The winners will be announced in Miami on November 30.
