Ban Ki Moon to visit EXPO, after honouring Italy's 60 years in UN

ROME — The UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon, concluded the ceremony for the sixtieth anniversary of the accession of Italy to the United Nations on Thursday and is now attending the EXPO in Milan.
Also present at the ceremony were the Head of State, Sergio Mattarella, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Laura Boldrini, the President of the Senate, Pietro Grasso, and the Chairman of the Board, Matteo Renzi.
The ceremony was then followed by a visit to the exhibition dedicated to Italy’s 60 years in the UN at the Hall of Aldo Moro, which will be moved to the Library of the Chamber of Commerce in the following days and will be open to the public for two months.
In continuing his tour through Italy, Ban Ki Moon arrived on Friday morning at the EXPO in Milan. Accompanying him were the Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, the CEO of Railways, Michele Mario Elia, and the Mayor of Turin, Piero Fassino. After his visit to Pavilion Zero, Ban Ki Moon will be at the auditorium where the 70th World Food Day is due to take place.
