Counterfeit condoms seized at airport

Rome -Customs officials confiscated 150,000 "dangerous" counterfeit condoms Friday at Leonardo da Vinci airport after discovering they were past their sell-by date, police said.
The contraceptives arrived at the Rome airport from China on their way to another country in southern Europe and were labelled as the products of a well-known international brand of rubber.
However a brand manager called to the scene examined the condoms and pronounced them fakes with "expired quality and therefore dangerous." The merchandise was seized and a report made to judicial authorities regarding the fraud.
