AS Roma and Inter pull ahead in Serie A game day Four

This result means Venezia moves to the bottom of table as the only team still with 0 points and Fiorentina jump to 15th. The relegation zone also contains Genoa in 19th and Monza in 18th both with 1 point. In the UEFA Champions League, with Italian teams fortunes faired differently. Inter Milan lost against 2-1 against Real Madrid and current Premier League holders Arsenal beat Napoli 0-1. AS Roma’s winning luck seemed to have ran out in Europe after they drew 1-1 with Turkish side Fenerbahçe. The only saving grace for the Italian league was Como 1907, who won their first ever Champions League match 4-1, placing them in 5th in the current table. The new Champions League format, introduced last season, sees all the team play eight matches to be placed in a ranked table. The top eight proceed automatically to the round of 16, while ninth to 24th place enter a knockout for the remaining eight spots.
