American tourist, aged 7, hit by police car in Rome centre

ROME - The police, with their sirens on for an incident, the little girl, crossing the street with her parents a few paces in front. The impact.
A seven year old American girl was run over by a police car in the center of Rome, on Corso Rinascimento.
The girl – from California, and on holiday with her parents in the Capital – was taken to the Bambino Gesu hospital in a code yellow state: she had suffered several cuts, but she was not in a serious condition.
From the initial information it seems that the police car, with its sirens blaring, was on the way to the scene of a fight. When the incident occurred, it appears the child was crossing the street a short distance behind her parents.
