Scottish tourist dies from injuries a week after mysterious explosion in Rome

ROME - Grant Paterson, 54, who was enjoying his holiday in Rome, unknowingly staying in the same building that anti-mafia journalist, Roberto Saviano, was living just days before, has succumbed to his wounds and died Tuesday evening.
The explosion, which took place March 23 in Monteverde, a picturesque part of the city, west of Trastevere, had gravely injured Mr. Paterson, who wrote on social media just days before 'this should be a good week... if I don't get killed in some ungodly way', in a cruel twist of fate. The Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri made the announcement stating that he wished to 'express his personal condolences to Paterson's loved ones and fellow scots, as well as those from the Roman people.' He continued that he hopes that the on-going investigation will shed light on what happened sunday morning.
It is still uncertian as to whether the explosion was accidental or due to more nefarious circumstances.
