Tesla shop fire in Rome denounced as terrorism by Musk

ROME – Police were investigating Tuesday the origins a fire at a Tesla dealership in Rome, destroying 17 cars the day prior.

The fire, which broke out shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Monday, destroyed 17 cars from the controversial car company. The reason for the fire is still unclear.  Nothing has been ruled out, including arson. “Terrorism” was what Elon Musk referred to it as on the application formerly known as Twitter.

The firefighters and the police intervened on site and are still investigating the incident. The flames were put out by the firefighters and interviews were carried out. The flames had partially affected the structure where the cars were parked. Fortunately, no-one was injured.

“We are aware of the accident that occurred in Rome today. We are actively investigating the incident and will collaborate with local authorities to determine the causes of the event,” a spokesperson for Tesla said.
