Gaby Ford presents new play at the English Theatre of Rome

ROME – Gaby Ford presents Alice B a new play inspired by Gertrude Stein’s The Autobiography of Alice B at the English Theatre of Rome from Wednesday March 12.

Ford is the founder of Ford Entertainment, created in 1996, which is a group dedicated to spring-boarding artists by producing English theatre from October to June. The theatre’s repertoire ranges across 5 changing categories each season: classic, contemporary, world premiere, female playwright, and -since 2000- a bilingual production. Each year Ford selects certain plays to introduce the public to a new author, re-vitalize a ‘classic’, and create space for the works of female playwrights to be performed.

The play is an homage to Gertrude Stein: A multimedia show that explores the modernism of the early 20th century in relation to contemporary life.
