ROME - On Saturday November 23, the Sette Ottobre Organization has announced a protest for the elimination of violence against women. The protest will be held at 3pm in Rome outside the Iranian embassy on via Nomentana 361. Signs are encouraged.

 The protest will celebrate the brave student in Iran who was reportedly confronted by Basij Parliamentary forces for not wearing a Hijab. Her clothes were allegedly torn off by these forces. In protest, she later walked around her university campus with only her undergarments. Now, she has become figure of resistance against Iran’s strict dress codes and is the main symbol for Rome’s upcoming protest.
