Searches continue for missing British tourist in Sardinia

ROME -- Searches continue in Sardinia after British tourist, Michael Frison, disappeared on Saturday near Luogosanto in Valdicorru.
The Brit had been in Sardinia as part of a volunteer trip. On Saturday afternoon, it is thought that Frison, 25, became confused during a walk in the Sardinian countryside and undressed before disappearing.
Cristina Pittalis, Frison’s mother, took to Facebook to urge locals to join the search for her son. “He is a very sweet boy, you can approach him without fear, please, if you see him stop him, talk to him, but don’t leave him alone.
“Please, if you can, look in your land, in your homes. If you get a chance, please go and help with the search.
“But don’t go alone, blindly, talk to fire groups, or civil protection, offer your support, ask what and how you can help. They know how to move, and how to coordinate the research groups.
Firefighters and the Forest Guard conducting the search have, however, described the area as “too vast”.
Sardinian police are investigating reports of a sighting in Arzachena in the north of the island. “There has been a report that he [Michael] is in Arzachena. He was seen at 9.30 this morning. Police are verifying the report, but it is important that someone is on the site there now. Please circulate this with everyone you know in Arzachena and the surrounding area,” read another appeal for the missing Brit on Facebook.
