The Lake Maggiore incident: overcrowded boat or target of Iran?

Emergency services at the incident

Rome- The boat filled with spies that capsized on Lake Maggiore recently,  is now raising alarm bells for possibly being linked to Iran.

The trip was organized to celebrate the birthday an Israeli member’s birthday and there were about twenty Italian and Israeli Mossad secret agents in attendance which ended with four casualties.

According to a former secret service member, the Italian secret service and Mossad had been involved in a mission against a ‘rogue state’ and quickly pointed his finger at Iran.

He also went live on Swiss television saying that: “The Iranian secret services do not forget and have an iron memory. If it is true that, and I repeat if, behind what happened on Lake Maggiore there was a joint Italian-Israeli mission against Israel's eternal enemy, to prevent it from purchasing technical components and equipment for nuclear and military projects, then Italy could become a target of Iran.”

The head of Mossad was also in attendance at the funeral of the former Mossad agent who drowned, and the situation is gaining increased international attention, which could be dangerous as the release of the names of the agents puts them, their families, and their colleagues at risk according to the former secret agent.

Claudio Carminati, the captain of the boat who lost his wife during the tragedy and is now being investigated for causing the shipwreck and possibly homicide, also described the situation as an apocalypse.

During a recent interview, he said that there had been no weather forecast on the day of the incident but the boat was suddenly hit by a tornado with wind gusts of over 70km per hour. "In a matter of 30 seconds, an apocalypse descended upon us, the boat immediately capsized, and we fell into the water" is how he described the situation.
