ROME – Villa Wolkonsky, the Residence of the British Ambassador to Italy, will be opened to the public for guided tours as part of the “Spring Days”, officials said.
The Fondo Ambiente Italiano (Italian Environment Fund), which aims to preserve and maintain Italy’s national heritage and cultural assets, presents the 31st edition of its Spring Days which are taking place on March 25 and 26. The annual festival is the FAI's flagship event and about 750 locations will be opened to the public in 400 cities across the country.
Among these locations, for the first time, is Villa Wolkonsky, the residence of Lord Lewellyn, the British Ambassador to Italy.
Visitors will be able to admire the villa’s vast collection of paintings and tapestries, visit the gardens and enjoy the 400 metres of Roman aqueduct.
