MODENA – Seven people inlcuding Turkish and Lebanese buyers were killed when the chopper they were travelling crashed in the Modenese mountains in bad weather, rescue workers said Sunday.

There were no survivors in the crash. The helicopter, an Augusta Koala, with seven on board went missing on Thursday and was last sighted above the Modenese mountains, authorities said. The dead were identified as Italian pilot Corrado Levorin, and businessmen Chadi Kreidy and Tarek El Tayak from Lebanon, and from Turkey Serhat Kenar, Arif Cef, Ilker Ucak and Altug Erbil.

The Turks were all managers from the holding company Eczacibasi. A number of people from the same company were killed in a chooper crash due to bad weather in Istanbul in 2017.
