ROME – Sources close to Silvio Berlusconi, have dismissed gossip disseminated by Novella 2000 that the leader of the Forza Italia party’s 32-year-old girlfriend is pregnant, calling it “fake news."

 85-year-old Berlusconi and his girlfriend Marta Fascina, who is also a politician in the Forza Italia party, have been living together for two years and recently held an ‘wedding without a wedding’ party at Villa Gernetto, in Lesmo, Brianza, to celebrate their partnership without any civil, legal or religious significance.

 Writer and director of the weekly Novella 2000, Roberto Alessi, was the first to say that Fascina is pregnant in his column on the Men On Wheels website.

 Berlusconi has not yet made any comment about the report, but circles close to him have called it a "lie devoid of any foundation.”

 Meanwhile the couple was spotted Sunday on Lake Maggiore. According the Prealpina newspaper, Berlusconi and Fascina sailed to the Isola dei Pescatori in Stresa for lunch and were greeted by fans asking for photos.
