Italian Ambassador to Ukraine rescues 20 minors

KIEV – The Italian Ambassador to Ukraine Pier Francesco Zazo rescued about 20 minors, including six infants, during the ongoing transfer of the Italian Italian embassy from Kiev to Lviv, according to ANSA news agency.
Ambassador Zazo, who has been in the position for less than two months, received the children and young people at the embassy after the outbreak of the war because they lacked a safe place to stay.
Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi said, "I want to thank the Ambassador to Ukraine and the staff of the embassy for their spirit of service, dedication and courage. Undersecretary Enzo Amendola wrote on Twitter he felt “very proud” of Zazo and that the action was “yet another example of the extraordinary work of the diplomatic corps and the armed forces. Thank you.”
