Woman Camorra boss arrested at Rome airport

 ROME -- Police have arrested the woman allegedly heading one of  Naples most-feared Camorra crime clans, Maria Licciardi, as she was waiting for a flight to Spain from Ciampino Airport, possibly after being tipped off she was about to be nabbed, police said Monday.

 Licciardi, believed to be the leader of the clan of the same name founded by her brother Gennaro, was arrested Saturday morning at the Rome airport on her way to Malaga where she has a daughter living, officers said. She ramined impassive and offered no resistance when police showed her an arrest warrant accusing her of headling the crime gang that is part of the underworld cartel known as the 'Secondigliano Alliance.'
 She was arrested on charges of belonging to a mafia style organisation, extortion, recycling dirty money and threatening a woman who refused to pay a percentage of a property deal. The Licciardi clan is active in real estate deals in Naples.
