NAPLES - The 22-year-old actress Elvira Carpentieri was on Thursday found hanged in the Teatro Bellini in Naples. Emergency services were immediately called but it was too late to do anything.

  Carpentieri, an aspiring actress and student at the Bellini Factory, the theatre's drama school, had also tried to kill herself two days before with a overdose of drugs but was unsuccessful. 

  The Direction of the Bellini Theater issued a statement. "The pupil decided with an extreme act to resolve the drama she was experiencing. This tragedy upsets us deeply and we want to impose the most rigorous secrecy on the story. The management and all the employees of the theatre at this time gathers in mourning around the family and friends of the departed."
