ROME- The Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered an urgent investigation into Foodinho srl, the Italian company arm of Spanish food delivery platform Glovo, on suspicion of ‘aggravated illegal hiring’ of 2,000 delivery bike riders in Milan and as many as 40,000 throughout Italy, judicial sources say. The company’s sole director, Spaniard Oscar Pierre Miquel, has also been placed under investigation.

CORTINA D'AMPEZZO - A bus driver who forced an 11-year-old boy to walk six kilometres through snow after rejecting his ticket has met with the child’s family and apologised, according to Italian broadcaster RAI 1.
Salvatore Russotto, who remains suspended without pay from Dolomiti Bus, said the face-to-face meeting brought relief after weeks of controversy following the incident on the route between Vodo and San Vito di Cadore in the Belluno area in late January.

ALISHAN, Taiwan-“The Beautiful Island” was the Portuguese nickname for Taiwan as they sailed past the East Coast on the way to trade with Japan in the 16th century. After visiting a tea plantation in the green mountainous Alishan area, I understand what they meant.
Any good travel experience really depends on the guide. I had the best, Robert Dawson, my wife’s old college roommate who has been living in Taiwan for the past 30 years. Not only did he introduce me to his town, Tainan in South Taiwan, he organized a tea plantation visit in the Alishan region.
