ROME — A mob of S.S. Lazio ultras ambushed 70 Real Sociedad fans in Monti Wednesday night, leaving one Spaniard in critical condition, judicial sources said. 

 A 3-1 win over Real Sociedad, a historically leftist Basque Country club, at the Stadio Olimpico Thursday moved Lazio to the Europa League's elimination quarterfinals. 

ROME – The Italian government has decided not to send Najeem Osama Almasri Habish, the 47-year-old former head of the judicial police of the Tripoli regime, to the International Criminal Court (I.C.L.) according to judicial sources. 

 Almasri was accused of committing war crimes and torture from 2015 in the notorious       

 Mitiga prison, where the Libyan Militia keep jihadists, homosexuals, migrants waiting to journey to Italy and other enemies of the state.

ROME - Milanese Public Prosecutor's Office have conducted an investigation with both the Police and the local police force that has led to a precautionary measure order executed against seven alleged perpetrators, for allegedly having organised a migrant trafficking network.

 The investigation began in 2022, following checks at the Swiss and French borders, which led to the discovery of stolen documents kept near a photo booth at the Lampugnano station, in west Milan.

HELSINKI - The international Matka travel and tourism was held in Helsinki for the 37th time. This year, 850 companies from around 70 countries participated in the fair, and over 56,000 visitors, including trade visitors, were in attendance from 15 to 19 January 2025. "The number of visitors to the Matka Travel Fair increased by 11%, demonstrating people's desire to turn travel planning into an experience, discover destinations and meet professionals face to face.
