ROME - As the Canadian government prepares to host the G7 Summit in June 2018, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, as the largest and most influential business organization in the country, will host the leading business organizations from the other G7 countries at the B7 Summit. The summit will also mark the end of months-long process to develop key universal recommendations for the G7 Leaders ahead of their summit.

This year, recommendations from the B7 are centered on three themes: resource efficiency, inclusive growth and scaling-up small business. Taken together, concrete action in these areas will contribute to furthering the mutual interests of the G7 (and the global economy more generally) in promoting economic growth, sustainability and shared prosperity.

The Italian Confederation of Industry, Confindustria, has announced its participation to the event with an important delegation composed of the president, Vincenzo Boccia, the President of Piccola Industria, Carlo Robiglio, the vice president for Internationalization, Licia Mattioli, the vice president for Industrial Policy, Giulio Pedrollo and the general director, Marcella Panucci.

At the end of the three days, on April 6th at 15.45 (local time) a joint press conference will take place with all the leaders of the participating industrial organizations during which a Final Declaration will be presented and distributed to the media, the same given to the President of the Canadian Council, Justin Trudeau a few hours before. A real contribution of the business community to the political G7 that will be held this year on 8 and 9 June at La Malbaie in Québec.
