Berlusconi embroiled in new extortion scandal

ROME -- It came to light on Thursday that Berlusconi had been attempting to make payments to young women

Silvio Berlusconi is under investigation by the public prosecutor’s office of Milan for corruption of the judicial process by making cash payments, just a few months ago. The payments were made in cash through the accountant Giuseppe Spinelli. Ansa reports that these accusations have been confirmed by a well-placed source. The accusation centres around four young women: Elisa Toti, Aris Espinosa, Miriam Loddo and Giovanna Rigato. This is a continuation of the lawsuit known as ‘Ruby ter’.

From what we know, the dossier compiled on the ex-Prime Minister and the young women, who had also been embroiled in the proceedings of ‘Ruby ter’, is the result of an investigation led by Tiziana Siciliano and Luca Gaglio. Berlusconi is accused of having been extorted by show girl Giovanna Rigato to the tune of one million euros.
