Central African politicians pledge peace after pope visit

  Bangui - Politicians of the Central African Republic committed to build peace in the country in a letter delivered to Pope Francis at the end of his visit to the country that was released Tuesday.

  The letter was written by the entire political class of the country, at the initiative of the Community of Sant'Egidio, which organized a meeting between the parties to end the CAR's long and bloody civil war.
