Maramotti collection holds private viewing of latest exhibits

ROME- The Reggio Emilia-based Maramotti Collection  is to house two exhibitions from award-winning artists, which will open with a private viewing of the works, some of which have never been seen before in the gallery.

Silent Sticks by Corin Sworn, winner of the Max Mara Art Prize for Women, is inspired by the strong tradition of the Italian Commedia dell’Arte and particularly on its recurring theme of mistaken identity. The exhibit will feature an installation “which combines architecture, sculpture and textiles, stage for a performance edited in a video by the artist” according to a press release from the contemporary art gallery, managed by luxury Italian fashion house Max Mara.

Industriale immaginario is a group exhibition featuring works that were on display in the gallery from 1958 to 2013. The pieces have been meticulously chosen to present how research is done in contemporary art, which is explored through the use of traditional industrial materials, the re-use of objects of industrial origin and industrial products.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a private viewing of the exhibits on Saturday 3 October 2015 at 6.00pm at Maramotti Collection.
