Meridiana and Iberia extend partnership

NAPLES – Meridiana and Iberia have announced an extension of their code-sharing agreement to cover the Italian airline’s new Madrid-Naples route.

Passengers will be able to purchase tickets for the Madrid-Naples route, which boasts four weekly flights, through both airlines. This opens up a wealth of opportunities for connecting flights, with Iberia offering 62 possible destinations departing from Madrid alone. Likewise, passengers arriving from Spain will be able to take advantage of Meridiana’s domestic network.

Meridiana Chief Commercial Officer, Andrea Andorno, said, “We believe that the cooperation with Iberia on this new, unique route will definitely be another success story. Thanks to the extensive network of Iberia, our customers departing from Naples will be able to discover new travel opportunities to great destinations.”

The Italian carrier will act as the route’s operating partner, whilst flight details are registered under both airlines’ names.
