Sant'Egidio to hold Prayer for Peace tomorrow (Friday)

ROME - The religious community of Sant'Egidio in Rome will hold a "prayer for peace" this Friday at 8 pm. The prayer ceremony will be held just before the start of the International Meeting for Peace, which begins on Sunday. 
 
The service will be conducted at the Basilica of Santa Maria, located in Trastevere. The prayer will be administered by the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antiochia, John X Yazigi, who comes from Damascus. He is the brother of Bishop Paul Yazigi, the man from Aleppo who was kidnapped on April 23rd from a village along the border of Turkey.
