Sinner cruises through to Indian Wells semi-finals

Jannik Sinner celebrating his quarter finals victory

ROME – Jannik Sinner progressed to the semi-finals of Indian Wells after beating Jiri Lehecka in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

This victory is Sinner’s 16th consecutive win, winning all 16 matches he has played so far in 2024. He has already won the Australian Open and the ATP 500 this year.

He will face Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals on Saturday. Last year, the same pairing faced off for a spot in the finals and Alcaraz came out on top.

If Sinner wins on Saturday, it will edge him closer to the number two spot in the rankings, which Alcaraz currently occupies. The current gap between the Italian and the Spaniard is 535 points.
