Montepagano and Abruzzo offer taste and excellence

Magione Home.
MONTEPAGANO - Abruzzo has not only renowned beaches and ancient villages, but it is a land with a deep and unique food and wine tradition. With a will expressed by the authorities of this region to focus decisively on a tourism of the excellence produced in this ancient land.
And among the most dynamic villages in this sense, Monte Pagano, which for more than 50 years has been organizing an event, the WINE FAIR, that is by now an eagerly awaited event by experts and producers and whose promotion was entrusted this year to an association called Idealis which it serves as a valuable communication carrier.

We were talking about a gem of a small town that rises on the hill above Roseto degli Abruzzi in the Province of Teramo. It is just a 6 km km drive from a cluster of large and well-equipped Adriatic beaches.

And over three days, this village which is believed to be the oldest in Abruzzo and which dates back to 1100, is preparing to welcome thousands of tourists from all over Italy, displaying typical dishes and excellent wines, perfumes, flavors and aromas, organizing itineraries and focused on discovering the recipes and wines produced by the region: just think of the famous Teramo hills, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Trebbiano, Cerasuolo and others.

And if the village is in the process of expanding the hotel offer, able to cope with the tourist boom in anticipation, some initiatives are already enjoying the approval of professionals and lovers of food and wine tourism,

'La Nostra Magione' is an example of this, a symbol of a sector in full expansion, promoting a concept of hospitality between ancient history and modern comforts, an idea of a couple of Roman architects, Francesca and Francesco Catania, who have succeeded in recovering ancient residences of the ancient fortified village.

And all around Monte Pagano is an enchanting land of villages, medieval castles, vineyards, avenues of cypresses and bougainvilliers and farmhouses. It is located between the provinces of Pescara and Teramo, and overlooks one of the most beautiful Adriatic seas, and during these three days, full of beauty and taste, the guests of the event were able to visit the historic cellars with tasting of wines and typical products and stroll surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and ancient mills.

In the evening, in a joyful and hospitable environment, it was possible to discover the corners of the village, walking in the historic center and visiting its warehouses, the elegant and passionately cared for streets, as well as savoring the culinary delicacies of a territory that has much to offer.

Montepagano clearly won the challenge and all of Abruzzo proceeds at full speed towards a cultural and tourist offer based on the excellence of the area, which is rich, various and simply unique!
