 ROME - - Over eleven thousand visitors have experienced the new visit route at the Sacred Area of Largo Argentina in its first month of opening.

 11,885 Roman citizens and tourists visited the Sacred Area of Largo Argentina, which has been accessible with a new visit route from June 20 this year. 

 The site has received an average of 400 visitors a day, including 2800 visitors on the first Sunday of July alone. 

 It is a major success for one of the most significant archaeological areas of the city which reveals the face of republican Rome with the four temples that can finally be visited close-up.

 The new walkway on the walkway to see the cats there, built under the technical and scientific direction of the Capitoline Superintendency for Cultural Heritage, thanks to the contribution of the Maison Bulgari, allows for a visit completely free of architectural barriers, with a path accessible to all, for the first time at an archaeological level.

 Behind temples B and C in the area, the base of the Curia of Pompey can be seen, the site of one of the most famous episodes in Roman history, where, according to sources, Julius Caesar was killed in the famous session on the Ides of March 44 BC.

 The site is completed by two exhibition areas, one in the portico of the medieval Torre del Papito and the other in the premises below the street level in via di San Nicola de’ Cesarini, set up with a selection of the numerous finds found in the area, which allow visitors to appreciate the history of the Sacred Area from the Republican era to the demolitions of the 1920s.

 The Torre del Papito also houses the new ticket office and the bookshop. For the opening, the guide “Largo Argentina. The Sacred Area and the Torre del Papito” in which the history and quirks about the area are described, along with the phases of the project, things for visitors to see and do and the exhibition spaces.
