Greek anarchist group claims bombing attack on italian diplomat

Susanna Schlein advisor to Italian embassy in Greece

ATHENS - A car bomb targeting Susanna Schlein, advisor to the Italian embassy to Greece and sister of Elly Schlein, candidate for PD secretary, was claimed by the Greek anarchist group “Carlo Giuliani Revenge” in the name of their “comrade” Alfredo Cospito, who is  currently detained in a high security prison and is facing a life sentence.

Schlein did not suffer any injuries in the Dec. 3 attack, as she was not in the vehicle when the bomb exploded outside her house in Athens.

In Turin, the Attorney General at the Court of Appeal recently asked for confirmation of life imprisonment for Alfredo Cospito. During the court hearing his supporters shouted, “Schlein learn how to park!”

The anarchist group later stated, referring to Cospito “Comrade, no matter how much they try to bury you, we will never forget you.”

The General Investigations and Special Operations Division (DIGOS)  launched an investigation into the incident and into twenty people present at the hearing in the Turin trial.
