ROME – A suspicious package was discovered on Monday that had been sent by post to Leonardo Spa, in Piazza Monte Grappa, and first checks show it could have exploded. 

 Investigations are in progress on the package, deactivated by the police bomb squad, that contained gunpowder. 

 The package arrived by post at Leonardo’s headquarters and the checks showed anomalies. 

 The building was not evacuated, and the police bomb squad intervened on the spot.
