NAPLES – A 25-year-old man with a history of drugs was shot dead and his body found in a car Monday, police said.

 The victim, Enrico Marmoreo, was found in a Fiat 500 at around 11:45 p.m. by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Bagnoli in Piazza Gabriele d'Annunzio near the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. At least 8 9-calibre rounds were fired at Marmoreo.

 Investigations are now underway by the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of the Provincial Command of Naples and of the Operational Unit of the Carabinieri of the Bagnoli Company. An autopsy will be performed on the body.
