Sláinte! Celebration of ‘Celtic Connections’ in the Eternal City

ROME – A lively evening of Scottish and Irish music, traditional Celtic stories, singing, poetry and more, will be hosted by ‘Arts in English’ from 9 p.m. at the Sala Teatro Paolo Poli in Ostia, south of the city centre, on Friday Feb. 25.

Tickets for the event, which promises to banish the winter blues with a cornucopia of Celtic frivolity, can be reserved by e-mailing artsinenglish@outlook.com with the desired number of spots. The limited number of tickets are 15 euros each and this includes a complimentary dram of whisky and homemade traditional Scottish shortbread.

The money raised will support the future of the amateur theatre group, which has been performing English plays and musicals in Rome for 16 years, headed by Scottish-born Ailleen Moir.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a night of true Celtic hospitality - just make sure to reserve your ticket in advance by sending a request to artsinenglish@outlook.com.
