Commonwealth Club Chair Vaughan resigns

ROME -- Richard Vaughan has announced his resignation as chairman of the Commonwealth Club of Rome as his family prepares to relocate to the United States. Mr Vaughan disclosed the move during a glittering barbecue reception of the Club held at the British School in Valle Giulia this week. Susan Smith agreed to be interim chairwoman of the Club until new elections are held. Commonwealth Club members will bid farewell to Richard at a drinks party being held at the Savoy Hotel's panoramic terrace bar July 5 sponsored by Imperius financial services.
