Di Maio to visit UAE in advance of Expo2020 in Dubai

  ROME - The Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, is visiting the United Arab Emirates on 25-27 April 2021.

  The schedule of his visit is to include:

  • Meeting with the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdallah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The agenda includes the following topics: bilateral relations between Italy and the United Arab Emirates, dialogue on regional issues and the upcoming inauguration of Expo 2020 Dubai. During the meeting, held at the ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Abdullah and Di Maio discussed also ties of friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Italy and ways to enhance them in all fields. They reviewed Italy's participation in Expo 2020 Dubai, while touching on regional and international issues of common interest. The two sides also discussed the latest Covid-19 developments and cooperation between the two countries to contain its repercussions.
